Lead categories
Overview
You find this area under Mailings → Lead categories in the event navigation.
Here you create lead categories and control how leads from the contact module are assigned to this event. Per category you define which ticketing products an automatically generated access voucher unlocks.
At the top of the form you find Voucher & category settings (event-wide). Below that the individual categories.
Manage categories
- Open the event and navigate to Mailings → Lead categories.
- Under Categories you see all created lead categories (sortable via drag & drop — order is priority).
- With Add category you create a new category.
- Enter Name, choose a Ticketing, and assign access voucher products.
- Save with Save.
A category cannot be deleted while leads are still assigned to it.
Voucher & category settings (event-wide)
These options apply to the entire event and control how access vouchers are created and whether leads may carry multiple categories.
Automatically create access vouchers for assigned leads
Default: off — you must enable this option for the system to create vouchers at all.
When active, ERADIANT automatically creates an access voucher in the contact module for leads with an assigned category and mirrors it into linked ticketings. The code is recomputed when assigning or changing categories: which products are unlocked follows from the access voucher products of all assigned categories.
When inactive, no automatic vouchers are created. Existing manually set codes on the lead remain untouched; automatically managed vouchers are only cleaned up when you explicitly deactivate this option.
Without this option you must maintain access vouchers manually in ticketing or on the lead.
Voucher code prefix
Only visible when automatic vouchers are active.
Optional text placed before the automatically generated code (placeholder: SUMMIT-). ERADIANT appends a 7-character random suffix — full code e.g. SUMMIT-A1B2C3D.
The full code must be unique in the organization (contact module and ticketing). The prefix helps you recognize codes (event, campaign, tenant).
Leave empty = random suffix only without prefix.
Keep secondary vouchers active after contact merge
Only visible when automatic vouchers are active.
When merging contacts, leads of the same event may be combined. Multiple vouchers can land on the remaining lead — the primary voucher on the lead plus secondary vouchers from the merged lead.
- Active (default): Secondary vouchers remain usable — they receive the same product unlocks as the primary voucher (based on current categories).
- Inactive: Secondary vouchers remain as codes but their product assignments are cleared — they unlock nothing in the shop. Only the primary voucher stays effective.
Useful when after a merge only one valid access code per person should apply.
Allow multiple categories per lead
Default: off — at most one category per lead.
When active, a lead may carry multiple different categories at once (e.g. “Speaker” and “VIP”). Unlocked ticketing products are merged across categories; for the same product max ticket values are summed.
If you later deactivate this option, saving fails while leads still have more than one category — you must clean up assignments first.
Allow same category multiple times per lead
Only visible when Multiple categories per lead is active. Default: off.
When active, the same category may be assigned to a lead multiple times (multiple junction entries). Useful when a category should grant multiple tickets of the same product: each assignment counts in recompute; quantity fields of access voucher products add up.
Example: category “Partner” with product “Day ticket”, quantity 1 — same category assigned twice → effectively 2 tickets for this product.
Deactivating is only possible when no lead carries the same category twice.
Fields per category
- Name: Lead category label (required)
- Ticketing: Ticketing whose access vouchers the voucher is mirrored into. Changing ticketing resets product assignments.
- Access voucher products: Ticketing products the voucher unlocks (typically “Voucher only” products). Per product Quantity (default
1): maximum ticket count for this product via this category. - Guest sync — ticket products for this category: Mapping for external CRM/guest syncs (only relevant when a sync is active)
You assign categories to leads in the contact module under Event categories & access voucher — manually, via import, or sync.
Usage
Typical flow:
- Create categories (e.g. “Standard invitation”, “Speaker”) and assign ticketing products.
- Enable Automatically create access vouchers … and optionally set a prefix.
- Assign categories to leads — the voucher code appears on the lead and in ticketing (as contact-module-managed voucher).
- Participants redeem the code in the shop and purchase unlocked products.
