Products component
Overview
In the Products area you define the ticket types or products of your ticketing – e.g. “Standard ticket”, “VIP ticket”, “Workshop ticket”. Each product has a name, price, tax rate, visibility, cancellability and its own sales period.
Products are offered in shops and can be assigned to one or more shops in the Shops area.
Features
Edit products
- Open a ticketing and navigate to Products.
- Edit the fields of the individual product cards (name, description, status, visibility, cancellability, price, tax rate, sales period).
- Use the drag-and-drop handle on the left edge to change the order of products.
- Click Save.
Note: If a product is collapsed, you can expand it using the arrow button in the top right.
Add a product
- Click Add product (potentially at the bottom of the page, scrolling down may be necessary).
- Fill in the required fields (name, gross price, tax rate, sales start, sales end).
- Save the changes.
Delete or pause a product
- Click the delete icon (trash) on the respective product card.
- If the product is not yet part of any cart or order: it is deleted.
- If the product already appears in carts or orders: it cannot be deleted. Instead, it is paused – it is no longer purchasable but remains visible in existing orders.
Reorder products
Use the drag-and-drop handle on the left edge of a product card to change the order of products. Drag the card to the desired position and save the changes.
Fields
Each product has the following fields:
- Name: External name of the product (required), e.g. “Standard ticket” or “VIP package”.
- Description: Optional description that can be shown in the shop.
- Status: Lifecycle of the product:
- Draft: Not on sale yet.
- On sale: Currently purchasable.
- Paused: Temporarily not purchasable (e.g. after a delete attempt when orders already exist).
- Visibility: Who can see the product in the shop:
- Public: Visible for everyone.
- Voucher only: Visible and purchasable only with a valid voucher code.
- Private: Visible only for certain shops or contexts (depending on shop configuration).
- Gross price (in cents): Price in the smallest currency unit (e.g. 1999 = 19.99 €). Must be positive or zero.
- Tax rate (in %): Tax rate for this product (e.g. 19). Must be positive or zero.
- Sales start: From when the product is purchasable (required).
- Sales end: Until when the product is purchasable (required).
- Cancellability: Defines whether a product can be canceled.
- Cancellable: The product can be canceled as part of an order cancellation.
- Not cancellable: If such a product is included in an order, the entire order can no longer be canceled.
- Exception for ticketing admins: Ticketing admins can still cancel all orders.
Usage
Products are the basis for ticket sales. After creating products, you configure questions (e.g. first name, email) and shops to start sales. Through cancellability, you also control cancellation logic at order level: if an order contains at least one non-cancellable product, the entire order is not cancellable (except for ticketing admins). Currency and time zone are defined in the ticketing settings.
