Event sync component
Overview
The event sync connects a ticketing with an event and synchronizes purchased tickets or participants into the event’s networking. This way, participants who bought a ticket automatically appear in networking – including data from ticketing questions that you map to networking properties.
Features
Create an event sync
- Open a ticketing and navigate to Event sync.
- Click the plus icon.
- Select the event to synchronize with.
- Configure all settings as desired.
- Save the sync.
Edit an event sync
- Click a sync in the list.
- Adjust event, products or question mappings.
- Save the changes.
Fields
- Event: The event whose networking is filled with ticketing data.
- Synchronize unpaid orders: If enabled, orders with pending payment are also synchronized.
- Synchronize all products: If enabled, all products of the ticketing are included. If disabled, only selected products.
- Products: When limited selection is used, which products/tickets are included in the sync.
- Question mappings: Mapping of ticketing questions (single-/multi-select) to networking properties (these must first be defined in the networking participant properties / filters).
Question mappings
- Only single-select and multi-select questions can be mapped.
- Each ticketing question can be mapped only once.
- Each networking property can be mapped only once.
- Participants’ answers to ticketing questions are transferred to the corresponding networking properties.
Usage
Event sync is useful when:
- Your ticketing belongs to an event and participants should be visible in networking.
- You want to transfer ticketing questions (e.g. institution, position, interests) into networking.
- You want to use different products for different syncs (e.g. only VIP tickets for a special networking view).
Without event sync, purchased tickets do not automatically appear in event networking.
